The original factory cardboard cartons were thrown away and wouldn't have been sturdy enough for shipping now anyway.  Consequently, these Duos are available for local pick up only from Sands Point, New York, about 40 minutes from New York City, on the north shore of Long Island.  But by picking them up, you'll save a minimum of four- or five-hundred dollars in shipping charges, and another five- or six-hundred dollars in wood crating and custom foam lining charges.  THE SOUND: The thing that's important about the Duos is that they could be the best sounding speakers in the world.  Period.  Well, except for their bigger brother, the Trios, but for those, you need a very large room.  In anything normal sized, the Duos will sound better.
