Description Here is a fine example of the Collins 851S-1 High Frequency Receiver.  This unit has 10 Hz fine step tuning & the option that allows an external site frequency reference to be used.  Frequency coverage from 100 KHz to 29.99999 MHz.  The bandwidths installed are 200 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 KHz, USB & LSB (2.7 KHz?), 3 KHz, 6 KHz & 16 KHz.  Modes are SSB/CW, AM & ISB.  Receiver is shown tuned to a local AM station & I have offset the tuning 430 Hz to show the fine tuning feature and I haev set the variable BFO to +1040 to show it is working as well.  It is in very good physical & electrical condition, no scrapes or dings, etc.  This is a fine acquisition for any serious Collins or high end radio collector.  I am no expert on this model, but will try to answer any questions.  This has been in my collection for a while and I have developed other interests, so it is time to find it a new home.  I also have a cherry 651S1 with rack mount/speaker, has factory tag still attached, if interested, I will put up for auction.  Due to the value and rarity of this item (851S1), all funds must clear before shipment.  International shipping will be costly, package will weigh approx 60 pounds or so for you to estimate costs.
