Description Fisher TX-500 Solid State AM-FM Audio Receiver NR!!! I've read that this is the first receiver to utilize an integrated amplifier. I was using it for my main amp until a friend gave me a MacIntosh! It was all working back then (a couple years ago) and has since been collecting dust in my garage. I recently dug it out and cleaned it up. I did notice that it has a crack in the particle board simulated walnut enclosure, which has caused a little wrinkle in the laminate but otherwise looks ok. Also, the AM antennae clip has broken off, so the antennae hang loose at the back. I plugged it in and it powers and seems to be doing its thing just fine with AM/FM.
