Description
A rare opportunity to acquire Linn's reference Sondek CD12, acclaimed as one of the world's best and most accomplished CD players. This 24-bit unit (serial number 824747) was manufactured in 2003 and is one of the last to be made. It was originally supplied by Linn to Aston Martin as a demonstration model (Linn supplied their in-car music systems), where it was displayed but apparently rarely, if ever, used. It was returned to Linn in 2005, and underwent servicing and and reconditioning to optimum Linn standards. I purchased the unit from my Linn dealer in December 2005 for my all-Linn system. Since then it has been carefully used on a casual basis, and of course cherished. My only reason for selling this treasure is to upgrade my system source to Linn's new Klimax DS. I have the original packaging, power cord, remote control, owner's manual, and a choice of Linn silver interconnects in RCA or balanced XLR formats (both unused).
