Comes without an original shipping box, but with all brochures and manuals. Condition: The unit is in brand new beautiful condition and is beautiful to look at! The receiver is brand new! The glass is perfect and glows a beautiful yellow/green at night! Everything is perfect and best of all, the lettering is completely 100% intact. The aluminum faceplate is beautiful and looks fabulous and doesn't have the usual wear around the volume control knob from people's fingernails rubbing against it. The switches and push buttons are new-condition and best of all, they work! No static when the knobs are turned and the knobs are new in perfect shape. The best thing is that they are shiny and are brand new! And the signal strength meters (the ones that burn a nice beautiful yellow) look really nice at night!! The tuning action is smooth and solid with no strange squeaking noises. The vinyl wood top and sides are (perfect) new. Sound: This is one awesome sounding receiver! Very warm for a solid state amp and the tuner sounds terrific and is considered by many to have the best tuner out of all the Mac receivers! Hook up a McIntosh EQ to your ML or XR series McIntosh speakers and you will be in sonic heaven. And the best part is the tuner. Simply magnificent. And if you want every bit of sound from your vinyl, this receiver's phone stage will deliver! Smooth, warm, and a nice energetic sound to it. Non fatiguing is the key. There is no harshness.
