Description
Getting hard to find one of these in this nice of condition! First of all, the warts: both antenna masts are missing; however, the swivel bases are there and in excellent shape and the masts themselves are relatively easy to find in the correct length; Second, the mic, balance and volume control knobs are not original but do match one another; finally, the damper that allows the 'B' cassette door to open gradually has lost it's action and the door just pops open, without any delay. The good news is that's it. The radio, FM, AM and shortwave bands work fine as does the EQ. Both tape mechanisms are in excellent operating condition and the reverse on the 'B' unit works flawlessly toggling between sides of the tape. The speakers sound great with plenty of smooth, rich bass with no popping or fuzziness and the EQ is quite flexible and a capable one, at that! It gives a considerable amount of control over the audio spectrum for a portable unit. Cosmetics are great with just a couple of spots on the back where the unit was rubbed against a wall and some of the latex paint 'rubbed' onto the black case. This comes off with a fingernail but it's very, very minor. The battery compartment is pristine with nice, shiny connectors and absolutely no trace whatsoever of any leakage or other 'accidents'. Finally, all logos, lettering and clear plastic sections are in excellent condition with no haze, scratches or other imperfections to detract from the excellent cosmetics. Winning bidder pays actual shipping costs in addition to purchase price within 5 days of close. International bidders welcome but all sales shipped outside the continental US are considered 'final' and 'as is'. Thanks for looking and if you need any additional views, have questions, etc., please, don't hestiate to ask; it's no trouble and I want you to be sure of what you're buying/bidding on! Thanks again!
