The 12'' Golds are probably the best overall Tannoys. There are Silver Tannoys and Red Tannoys that sell at auction for thousands more, but in terms of sound quality these may be the best!  They are not only collectible, but many discerning audiophiles think they sound much better than the earlier style drivers.  I have another pair of these in cabinets I am currently listening to, and they are the clearest and cleanest speakers you can imagine.
