The laser head has a focus ring to zoom from a  beam to a spot. The photo shows two of the 50mW versions of the lasers one on each setting at about 30 feet. The spot is easily visible in bright daylight at at least 100 foot (the end of my garden) and at night it appears like a light sabre stretching as far as I can see. The broad beam setting like a powerful green torch.➤These lasers have a consistent output of around 145-155mW  of true green laser light and easily outshine many cheaper lasers with a claimed output well in excess of 150mW.Using a Coherent Lasercheck Powermeter  (calibrated spec.  +/- 5%)  this laser measures 176mW directly and 151mW of true green with our IR blocking  filter.➤The laser uses one 18650 type rechargeable lithium battery (supplied with the laser) that is rated at 3.7V and 2700mAhrs, about 3 times the capacity of a CR123. The laser draws about 0.6A so 3 hours operation between charges is realistic.The matching charger is included, see the photo for an illustration.➤The laser has an heavyweight alloy body (black powder-coated) that has a safety shutter at the front to protect the laser lens from dust and prevent accidental exposure.➤This laser has a safety interlock on a lanyard that must be inserted in the tail before it will operate acting as a key so unauthorised people and minors can be prevented from using the laser.➤The laser electronics are current regulated so that it will give a constant output with batteries from 2.7 - 6.0V and as the batteries discharge. This also allows it to be used with 2 3.0V CR123 cells.
