This unit is originally from the Florida’s Sheriff’s Department Crime lab. I repaired it and used it for my forensic class at a Community College. The curriculum has changed and the unit is for sale. SPEX forensic website provides excellent details on the use and applications as well as other forensic sites. This is a very rare forensic system and for sale in working order. The RUVIS first came about in 1997. Numerous law enforcement agencies including the FBI use the SceneScope. The Italian Carabinieri purchased 30 SceneScopes in 2002. New units cost well over $18,000 depending on your options. This is an excellent forensic system for any police department, investigator, evidence technician, lab, task force, forensic student, CSI School or University. The SceneScope easily fits in the truck of a vehicle. Please email with any questions you may have or if you wish I will give you my telphone number. Guaranteed not DOA. No returns allowed. All sales are final. You are welcome to pickup or see the unit for a demonstration. PayPal preferred but certified funds accepted. Checks must clear before unit is shipped. Bid with confidence, I have over 225 transactions. Buyer pays actual UPS charges. Buyer must make contact within 3 days of sale and complete payment within 7 days of the end of the sale. Watch for other forensic systems (forensic lights) for sale. * Photos are of actual RUVIS unit. The green tint photo is the RUVIS in direct view operation. Your eye against the image intensifier. The black and white photo (best I could) is through one of the goggle eye pieces showing the high sensitivity BW CCTV camera showing a complete invisible world of short wave ultraviolet. The object in the field of view is a pair of sun glasses. Addtional items included in sale are not shown due to the 12 pic. limit. Actual images through the RUVIS are brighter, sharper and have more resolution, I used a small Cannon digital camera. ** Added 8/28/08: A brand new medium size Platt transport case (lock and key included - still in the box) with cubed foam insert is added to the "buy it now" sale for the extra accessories with this kit.
