NR' Description This receiver has been tested with an Antron 99 and a shortwave antenna to work and is in excellent condition. The antenna is complete, there is an ever so slight bend in the second section and there are mild case scratches which could possibly be buffed out. There was slight nicotine staines on the top. As far as the battery compartment, the graphics are intact and not scratched or damaged in any way. I have done some research on the unit, it appears that it is not complete without the orange battery cover. Unfortunately, it is not included. The power cord was also not included with this consignment. I have found both available here on ebay (in the same auction for if I remember correctly, $17.00). The Sony ICF-6800W sophisticated worldband receiver covering AM, FM (87.5-180 MHz) and complete shortwave coverage 1.6-30 MHz. The radio has both analog and digital displays. This dual conversion, superheterodyne circuit employs quartz-crystal PLL synthesized tuning and LED display (except FM). Features include:  S-Meter, AFC, Bass & Treble, Wide/Narrow Selectivity, Memo Lamp and BFO for Single Side Band and Morse code. Jacks are provided for headphones, earphone, record output and timer input. May be operated from 110/120/220/240 VAC or six D cells. Antenna jacks are available on the rear panel (SO-239 and terminals). The Sony ICF-6800W with orange model printing on the front panel indicates later production with improvements and is more desirable.
