Description
Introducing the Sony WM-D6 Walkman Pro Up for auction is my Sony WM-D6C Walkman Pro that I originally bought in March of 1985. This is an awesome machine that was ahead of its time in my opinion! As you can tell from the photos, I have kept everything to its original packing except for the plastic. How long will it be before you find another like this? Down below please read for specifications and contents. If you need any more photos or have questions, please ask! Good Luck and Happy bidding! J I also found a NEW BP-23 Battery pack for the Walkman Pro too, and it's in another auction. Check out my other auctions! Specifications: I don’t get too technical, but this is a 4-Track, 2-Channel Stereo and if you want the nitty gritty just email and I will copy the sheet and email it to you! Serial Number: 16742 Front Switches: Slide level to adjust volume, play button, pause, fast forward and reverse buttons and a reject/stop button. Tape: Covers the Type I (standard), Type II (Chrome), and Type IV (Metal) tapes Dolby Noise Reduction: You can have it off, on B-Type, or choose C-Type Peak Meter: Has an LED peak meter from –10db to +6 dB switched to the left and to the right it uses it as a battery meter or save energy and uses the middle, which is off. Analog counter: Counts time in numbers, standard for the time of era. Headphone jack and plug in power for the Mic: MIC ATT (attenuator) switches from 20dB to 0dB. A Record Button with recording level knob. See photo. Line: In and Line Out plugs for recording or playing to an amplifier. Speed Tune: This can be used to adjust the speed and pitch of tape, recorded on another recorder. Just turn in on and turn the wheel for faster or slower speeds. See photo. DC Jack: This jack has a cord to plug in for household current to save batteries when in use. I did not try to remove the old batteries from the pack to replace them. I did not want to mess anything up in order to clean up the contacts. So I will let the new owner do that. As you can see from the photos, there is NO corrosion inside the Walkman. Contents: 1- Original Box 1- Walkman Pro Unit 1- Battery pack (Check out my other auction for a Brand New one for sale!) 1- Protective cover, which was an accessory 1- Strap for the cover 1- Owners Manual that has two holes punched in it for a binder. 1- AC-120W input-Output DC-6V adaptor 1- Supplied connecting cord which plugs to in or output and to other units 0- Headphones, sorry these were cheap and didn’t last long with me. Condition: I charged the battery pack unit, which still took a charge and played but rewound and FF kind of slow on battery power alone. On AC power it worked fine for my testing. I have photos of the battery pack which does show some corrosion (See Photos), and I didn't want to remove the batteries from the case and ruin something in the process of changing them. But the batteries will need to be replaced for sure. So, for 26 years it served its purpose! But it played for my testing of this unit. All switches work and function the way they should. DC plug-in works along with the peak meters and analog counter. I also recorded on the microphone (which I sold earlier) to see about the others and they work also. The only item I know of that is suspect is the headphone plug, which from the plug being pulled out on purpose and not on purpose is loose and would need to be looked at. It crackles some when moved, but works. So there you have it! An awesome machine in its original box! USA Shipping: I ship USPS Priority within the U.S. and please use the calculator for amount. Insurance is optional if desired, but would recommend! If not purchased and this is lost or damaged by USPS you have NO recourse. I ship within 48 hours of payment received!
