Description
TEAC X-1000R reel to reel Reels and adapters are included As seen in the video, this machine works perfectly. Tape tension & tracking have been properly adjusted to ensure the tape tracks in forward and reverse modes. Fidelity is superb. FFW and REW are fast, smooth and wobble-free. Please don't take the apparent ease in which this machine performs in the video for granted. Those who have owned these TEAC X-series are aware of the tracking problems associated with these units. For the unsuspecting potential buyers of these units, be very careful when purchasing a TEAC with auto-reverse because of the tracking issue. Otherwise you may receive a unit that will play on one direction but slides off track in the other direction. Again, you needn't worry about this problem occurring on this machine - it operated perfectly (see video) I have made a minor modification to the unit. The switches that control the reel size and speed would not stay engaged. These switches are no longer available, so I removed the springs on the switches (a permanent fix) Now they both work perfectly and will not create any future problems for the winning bidder. Features/Specifications: Dual capstan, closed loop 3 motor transport (resulting in a phenomenally low wow-and-flutter spec that is barely measurable at 0.03%) 6 heads (2 erase, 2 record, 2 playback) Auto-reverse (recording and playback both directions, when sensing foil is used) dBx Type I noise reduction (increases s/n ratio from 65dB to 100dB – approaching CD quality) Constant tension reel servos (for superbly stable tape handling) Electrical braking Punch-in recording Accommodates 10.5 inch, 7 inch, or smaller reels of 1/4 inch tape Two speeds (3-3/4 and 7-1/2 IPS) Frequency response of 30-34,000 Hz @7.5ips Three bias/equalization settings (LH-I, LH-II and EE). Controls: Power switch Reel size (small or large) Speed switch Reverse mode switch (forward only, forward and back, continuous loop) Pitch control (± 5%) Tape lifter control (cueing) Auto spacer Dupli-sync Front panel mic inputs and headphone outputs dBx Type I noise reduction in/out switch Record mode switch Bias/eq settings Tape/source monitor switch Mic/line mixing level controls and output controls for each channel Large dual VU meters. Real-time electronic counter measures tape in minutes and seconds and includes program, repeat, cue, search-to-cue, and search-to-zero functions. Rear connections include line level inputs and outputs, dupli-sync, remote control, and power cord. While I expect the winner to enjow decades of flawless operation with the TEAC X-1000R, there are nno warranties expressed nor implied with vintage electronics. All sales are final. $60 US shipping $100 to Canada I will ship to Europe for approx $300. Intl Money Orders only for sales outside the USA. Please inquire prior to bidding.
