This is a reel to reel I got on e-bay about 6 mons ago it workrd perfect for 20 mins and stopped so I sent it out to my electronics wizzard and he went all through it and all that was wrong was the belt had dried out after all these years so he changed it and cleaned it up a bit went through all the electronics oiled the motors and assures me it ready for years of service He said it looked as though it was never really used it was pristine as far as wear and tear witch jives with what the guy I bought it from said he brought it home from viet nam and never really used it. he said 20 hrs tops I have put several more on it since then recording all my records onto tape the sound I think is as good as cd as you can get plus it's cool,it can play forward and reverse so once you start out you can play almost 7 hrs of music. I got into these when I saw the movie pulp fiction and uma thurman had one in her apartment she was playing it just before she OD on travoltas heroin she thought was coccaine.
