As a head unit, the Xenarc MDT-X7000 has a 55W x 4 amplifier and reads all CDs and DVDs for all your audio and movie needs. You can control all the functions from DVD playback to changing radio stations using the touchscreen. You can switch the video input on the display into PC mode. Using the touchscreen as your input device(i.e. mouse replacement), you can click, select, drag-n-drop, etc, to manuever around your software applications. The DVD-drive works like any normal DVD-ROM drive and the built-in 2 port USB hub on the front of the head unity allows you to connect your USB devices with no hassle. The included multi-function remote allows you to control media player functions as well as other software applications that have support for IR remotes. The front head unit has a dedicated on/off switch should you wish to be able to control your car computer from a remote location (i.e. trunk).
