Description
Sound System - 4-way system for Large Nightclubs     ( eBay Inventory - 080904 )              The following inventory list pertains to a 4-way active sound system that I personally designed, fabricated, engineered, and serviced for many years.  It was designed for club dance bands and consists of two 4-way stacks per side, ( 3-way Hi-Pacs:  Hi's - Hi-Mid's - Low-Mids, with separate Sub Bass enclosures ).  Although the system does not include a console, ( or; mics, stands, and direct boxes ), it was designed for a console that hosts two monitor sends [pre], and two effects sends [post], as well as four sub-groups [with 31 band graphic EQ  and  dbx-160x compressors looped in and out ], and a stereo output which also utilizes a 31 band graphic on it’s output stage.           The system also includes 10's of thousands of dollars worth of cabling, ( all matching  20 pair mults, EP-8 speaker cable, twist-locks, etc. ).  It was specifically designed to be idiot proof, with a typical set-up time of only about a half hour.  Basically, a set of tails plugs into your console, and then mults into the outboard rack.  Then, the outboard rack mults into the house and/or monitor rack(s) via a 250 foot return snake.       NOTE: As a built in safety feature, the system is wired so you can’t put a cable into the wrong input or output, ( the same is true with the house speaker enclosures, etc. ).          This baby has worked lounges, clubs, auditoriums, and small showrooms, and it’s strength is in it’s organized and very easy to understand layout.  The system is about fifteen years old, and although newer designs with much more compact audio gear is now available, this fat sounding rig can still kick it, and then some.    Basically this system originally cost close to a couple hundred grand to build, but as we all know, audio gear doesn’t hold a great resale value.   That’s why the asking price is so ridiculous.         So, if you are looking for a packaged system to tour with, that produces a big sound, and sets up in a flash, ….. or, if you have a night club that is in need of some fullness and punch, then my loss is your good fortune.  As for me, I’m about to settle down with a wonderful woman, and my butt is staying off the road for good.      " Love you, Rachael !   Yeah, yeah, I know, ….. don’t forget to pick up milk on the way home from my new day gig, ........ ( sigh ).
